Ask questions about your calls

Ask Anything answers in plain language from your own calls, with links back to the ones it used.

Ask Anything is a chat that answers from your calls rather than from the internet. Ask it what a customer objected to, what you promised, or which calls mentioned a competitor, and it answers with links to the calls it read.

Where you can ask

  • From the Active Hub — press Ask Anything in the toolbar. Questions here can reach across every call you are allowed to see.
  • On a single call — ask about that one conversation without leaving it.
  • During a live call — ask about what has been said so far, while it is still being said.

What good questions look like

It reads like a colleague who has listened to everything, so ask the way you would ask a colleague:

  • "What delivery dates did we agree with this customer?"
  • "Which calls last month mentioned the renewal?"
  • "Summarize everything this customer has said about pricing."
  • "What did I promise on this call?" (from inside a call)

Questions with a period in them ("last month", "this week", "since Tuesday") narrow the search, and so does naming a person or a company.

Sources and citations

Answers carry numbered references — [1], [2] — after the claims they support. Click one and the call it came from opens. If an answer has no references, treat it with more caution: it means nothing specific was found to hang it on.

Answers can also come back with a small chart when you ask something countable ("how many calls a week", "what were the top topics"). The chart is built from the same calls the answer cites.

What it can and cannot see

Ask Anything is bounded by your own permissions. It only ever reads calls you are allowed to open — asking about a colleague's call you cannot see returns nothing, not a refusal you can work around.

Two other limits worth knowing:

  • Questions about call content can only reach calls that have a transcript. A call that was imported without a recording has nothing to read.
  • A call needs to have finished processing before it can be answered from.

If the answer is wrong or empty

  • Ask again with more detail — a name, a date, a product.
  • Check the sources. If it cited the wrong calls, the question was probably ambiguous rather than the answer wrong.
  • If the call you have in mind is not in the Hub at all, see My call did not appear.

Availability

Ask Anything is included on some plans and not others. If you do not see it, check Plan & billing or ask your workspace admin.
