# Connect an integration

Integrations do two things for you: they bring calls in without you pressing
record, and they let a call's actions land in the tools you already use.

## Where to find them

**Integrations** in the left sidebar lists everything you can connect. Each one
has its own page with a connect button and, once connected, a short description
of what it is doing.

Some integrations are connected once for the whole workspace by an admin;
others you connect for yourself. The page tells you which it is.

## Phone systems

Connecting your phone system is what turns ActiveLens from something you
remember to use into something that just runs. RingCentral, Phone.com and Quo
are all supported.

The shape of the setup is the same for each:

1. **Connect the workspace.** An admin authorizes ActiveLens once.
2. **Match people up.** Your colleagues' phone extensions or numbers are
matched to their ActiveLens accounts. Someone who is not matched keeps their
   calls to themselves.
3. **Import your call history.** Optionally, pull in recorded calls from the
last week, two weeks or month so you start with something to look at.
4. **Turn on sync for new calls.** From then on, every recorded call arrives on
its own — transcribed, summarized, with actions drafted.

Only calls your phone system actually recorded can come across, and very short
calls are skipped.

### Turning it off

An admin can switch **Sync new calls** off at any time, which stops new calls
arriving immediately. There is also a per-person switch, so one colleague can
be left out without affecting anyone else. Disconnecting the integration
removes the connection entirely; the calls already imported stay where they
are.

## Calendar and email

Connecting Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 lets ActiveLens read your calendar
so a call can be matched to the meeting it belongs to, and know who was
invited. It is what makes participant names and meeting titles accurate instead
of guessed.

You connect this for yourself, and you can disconnect it at any time from the
same page.

## Your other tools

Connect Salesforce, Monday.com, Jira, Trello, HubSpot or Loxo and the matching
actions become available on your calls — a Salesforce activity logged against
the right record, a Jira issue, a Trello card, a Monday item.

Two things worth knowing:

- Actions are **drafted, never fired off**. Nothing is written into another
  tool until you apply it.
- What ActiveLens can see and change in the other tool is whatever the account
you connected with can see and change. Connect with an account that has the
access you want, and no more.

## Troubleshooting a connection

- **The connect window closed and nothing happened.** Connecting opens in a new
tab, and some browsers block it. Allow pop-ups for ActiveLens and try again.
- **An integration says it is connected but nothing works.** Use **Test
connection** on its page. Authorizations expire; reconnecting fixes it.
- **The action I want is missing on a call.** The tool is not connected yet, or
it is connected for someone else and not for you. Picking the action on the
  call offers to connect it.
- **Calls have stopped arriving.** Check that **Sync new calls** is still on,
that your own per-person switch is on, and that the person who authorized the
workspace is still with you — if they have left, an admin needs to reconnect.
